The "Roulez Carrosses!" (From March 17th 2012 to November 10th 2013) A national first! A number of famous carriages from the Palace of Versailles are making an eighteen-month stopover at the Saint-Vaast Abbey in Arras. France's largest complex of eighteen century religious architecture, the Saint-Vaast Abbey in Arras is staging the event, housing some of the finest specimens from the Palace of Versailles collections. For the very first time, the coaches and berlines of our monarchs and emperors are on exhibition outside the historic royal residence, and for as long as eighteen months.350 years after Louis XIV, as evoked by a manificient painting by Van Der Meulen, these exceptional coaches make their ceremonial entrance into Arras. Other pictures and sculptures also portray the past splendours from the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries. 
The Garden of Boves (from March 24th to July 3rd 2012) Inspired by the wonders of the Palace of Versailles and its park, an enchanted garden to explore beneath the paving stones of Arras's town squares. Enjoy a descent into the mysterious Les Boves chalk quarries, and relive the splendours of Versailles 12 metres beneath the paving stones of Arras's town squares!Pass through the trompe-l'oeil gate, evoking the high golden grille of the entrance to the historic royal estate, and enter a magical and creative world conceived of by plastic artist Luc Bévart. 
95th Anniversary of the Battle of Arras (April, 9th 2012) On Monday 9th April at 5:30 am (UK time), it will be exactly 95 years since 24 000 British soldiers erupted from the entrails of the town to make a surprise attack and thus started the famous Battle of Arras. This was an impressive diversion operation carried out by the Allies a few days before the major French assault on the Chemin des Dames in Aisne.Several events will be held to celebrate this historic episode.Starting with a ceremony at 6:30am (French time) at the site of the Wellington Quarry, where Medieval chalk extraction pits, interconnected during the First World War by the New Zealand tunnellers, served as an underground barracks in the weeks leading up to the offensive. 
 The 10th edition of Earth in party will take place on June 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2012 Earth in party, the first agricultural lounge in the North of Paris returns to Tilloy-lès-Mofflaines on June 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2012.
